L’edificio P19 realizzato nel centro storico milanese fa riferimento all’architettura milanese del dopoguerra e si inserisce nel contesto dichiarando la sua contemporaneità.
È caratterizzato dai rivestimenti in pietra naturale di grande formato e dallo sfogliamento del piano terreno inclinato verso l’interno a contrasto con l’aggetto dei balconi d’angolo inclinati in modo speculare verso l’esterno.
La hall rivestita come l’esterno in lamiera microforata bronzata e’ interamente vetrata su strada mettendo in relazione l’interno con la città. Nel solco della tradizione milanese della collaborazione tra architetto e artista negli edifici di pregio un grande dipinto site specific realizzato dall’artista Petrus nella hall rappresenta un’astrazione delle linee spezzate dell’edificio e dei cromatismi del volume a lame in vetro adiacente.
P19, built in the historic city center of Milan references the post-war milanese architecture and is inserted in the context by proclaiming its contemporaneity.
It is characterised by the natural stone cladding and the separation of the ground floor which inclines towards the interior in contrast to the balconies which project in a mirroring manner towards the exterior. The skin of the building made of perforated brass sheets extends inside the hall, which is entirely glazed in relationship to the street, opening the interior of the building to the city.
Carrying the tradition of the architect-artist collaboration found in prestigious milanese buildings, a big site-specific painting has been realised by the artist Marco Petrus in the hall of P19 that represents an abstraction of the accentuated diagonal lines of the building itself and the chromatics of the adjacent volume with the coloured glass blades.
