Loft A nasce nel contesto di una tipica casa di ringhiera nel centro di Milano dall’unione di tre unità immobiliari. La complessa integrazione di queste entità ha portato alla definizione di uno spazio con prerogative uniche. Il vecchio corridoio lungo e cieco d’ingresso è stato ripensato come un doppio volume ovoidale, uno spazio fluido e astratto con pavimenti in resina rossa. Dal primo ovale si genera la scala elicoidale che porta alla zona notte ragazzi, il secondo ovale da’ accesso invece all’ambito notte padronale. Il living si struttura come un open space in cui vivono in sequenza: pranzo, home theatre, camino e zona conversazione. Il percorso si conclude con una piscina relax, sulla quale si affaccia il soppalco studio, progettata scenograficamente come parte integrante del soggiorno, separata solo da grandi vetrate fisse dal resto dello spazio.
Loft A is located in a typical banister house in the centre of Milan. It is the result of the unification of three different units. The connection of these three units which differed in their characteristics, was to produce a major architectural challenge. The old, long and blind passage at the entrance was transformed into a double egg-shaped volume, an abstract space with red resin floor. The helicoidal stairs lead from the first oval to the bedrooms of the upper floor. The access to the main bedroom is in the second oval. The living room is an open space where the dining, home theatre, fireplace and conversation area are in sequence. The route is completed by a relax pool, on which the mezzanine-study faces spectacularly projected like part of the living, just separated by huge fixed glasses from the rest of the space.
