I nuovi uffici Aldo Coppola The Agency si trovano nella sede storica della Lus a Milano, un edificio dalla forte impronta anni Quaranta.
Proprio l’architettura dell’edificio, caratterizzata dalla grande scala circolare rossa, dalle finestre a saliscendi in legno scuro e dai vetri givrettati, è divenuta riferimento importante nelle scelte di progetto.
Gli spazi degli uffici, pur ristrutturati secondo un’impostazione di pulizia formale, risultano fortemente connotati per quanto riguarda sia le scelte decorative (l’uso frequente delle carte da parati), sia il disegno degli arredi (con modanature anni Quaranta e impreziositi nei materiali e nelle finiture).
L’uso dello spazio assume una nuova valenza più domestica e intima, dove la reception diventa una sorta di sala lettura dove l’attesa si trasforma in occasione di consultazione di volumi d’arte, design e fotografia.
“Aldo Coppola The Agency’s” new offices are located in a 1940s building in Milan, which was once the Lus company’s headquarters.
Architecture strongly characterized by wide red circular steps, dark wooden latch windows as well as decorated windows were an important reference point for the project.
The offices are very much influenced by the choices made for decorations and furnishings, though the imprinting of the project is minimalist.
The sixties wallpapers with their graphic and chromatic potential are used either as decorative panels for the rooms, or actual paintings; the reception area has a plastic value, and it is innovatively viewed as a reading room where clients can consult art, design and photography books while they wait.
